The pledge of “Trucks you can trust” is derived from the high quality synonymous with Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles.
Quality is not only a motto, but something that Mercedes-Benz honors and abides by. Mercedes-Benz guarantees its customers top quality trucks and world-class services, which they can rely on. With this pledge “Trucks you can trust”, Mercedes-Benz is declaring its uncompromising adherence to high quality reliable products and services, as well as fair treatment when dealing with its clients.
Gottlieb Daimler had produced the world’s first truck in 1896. More than 100 years later, in Europe, Latin America and Middle East, Mercedes-Benz trucks remain synonymous with the utmost reliability and economy combined with top-class products and service quality.
Mercedes-Benz demonstrates, through it’s different models, like the Actros, Axor, and Atego a huge set of capabilities and competences. These heavy and medium duty trucks provide versatile, customer-focused transport solutions for long distance transport of goods, for construction site works and for domestic distribution. The Econic, Zetros and Unimog special trucks also share these same abilities.
Mercedes-Benz success is demonstrated not least by the many awards it has received. MB innovation and leadership is impressively demonstrated by the Actros truck, which, a few weeks after start of production, won the “Truck of the year” title. With the Actros came brand new benchmarks for being more effecient, for being safer and for driver comfort. The Actros once again, but with the Axor this time, have been voted “Best Commercial Vehicles” by the ETM readers’ poll. The Unimog truck with its multi-application benefits and performance was awarded “best all-terrain vehicle of the year” by the Off-Road magazine readers.
Quality without compromises is our motto and we stand by this pledge.
Message From The Chairman
More than 30 years ago we were the first company to set up a truck assembly plant in the region. Although the Kingdom was undergoing an economic boom, there was little development in the industrial sector, and many may have felt that we were ill-advised to even attempt it.
At the time, the NAI factory was quite literally in the desert and virtually everything had to be brought in. But, through the efforts of our staff and the co-operation of our partner, Mercedes-Benz, we succeeded in building a plant that has consistently been rated amongst the best in the world.
In due course, JIPCO was created to provide sales, marketing and after- sales service for the products we were manufacturing, at NAI, as well as imported commercial vehicles.
We remain as proud of our endeavors, today, as we were then, and look forward to many more years of successful collaboration and service.
Best Of Both Worlds
In 1977, the Juffali group and Mercedes-Benz set up a joint venture to assemble medium and heavy-duty trucks in the Kingdom and the National Automobile Industry (NAI) was born.
Since the beginning, NAI set out to achieve and maintain the superior standards of quality and workmanship for which Mercedes-Benz is famous. Testament to our success in achieving this goal, is the fact that, today, NAI is acknowledged as one of the most efficient Mercedes-Benz production and assembly plants outside Germany.
We trust that the partnership of German state-of-the-art technology with local talent and resources, will help us to continue from strength to strength, and are proud that NAI is an example of Saudi Arabia’s impressive industrial growth and economic diversification.
Buidling Better Trucks
The Mercedes-Benz logo is recognized worldwide as a symbol of automotive excellence. At NAI, we’ve always made sure that everything is done to live up to these incredibly high standards. This requires the personal commitment of every employee, built on their understanding of exactly what it means to be building Mercedes-Benz trucks, coupled with intensive technical training. As dedicated and professional as our staff is, we still leave nothing to chance. Every truck that leaves NAI has been subject to 450 separate checks during assembly, with a final intensive inspection and random audits. We’re proud to be recognized, by Mercedes-Benz, as one of their superior plants worldwide, and we mean to keep it that way.
At Juffali we’ve always believed that Saudization can only be achieved when local skills are on a par with international levels. To this end, the Juffali Training Institute has been training young Saudis to take their place in the organization. For existing staff, the opportunities to grow within Juffali are limitless. We have a policy of ongoing training which includes sending selected staff members to Europe to further their training and education.
